De 701 Supermoto is het juiste voertuig voor asfaltsurfers die een motor als speelgoed zien zonder te willen inleveren op alledaagse praktische bruikbaarheid. Het ABS voldoet ook aan sportieve eisen en kan worden uitgeschakeld of in de Supermoto-modus worden gebruikt met behulp van de "dongle" uit de accessoires. De ride-by-wire biedt keuze uit drie verschillende rijmodi, die ook alleen tijdens het rijden met een extra kunnen worden gewijzigd. Dit brengt ons bij de domper op de Oostenrijks-Zweedse melange: we hadden graag wat extra's standaard gezien. Dit zijn onder andere de stickerset voor de vele witte gebieden op de afdekking.
